Mission / Vission

Mission

The mission of the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center is to provide survivors of domestic violence with the opportunity to create safer, more stable lives for themselves and their children by providing in-depth, professionally supported, comprehensive services. This work is carried out through multi-disciplinary collaboration, compassionate advocacy and driven by the highest standards of excellence.

Vision

Our vision is to provide a safe location where all the needs of survivors are met, where children are protected, where violence stops, where families heal and thrive, where hope is realized and where professionals all work together.

History

The Crystal Judson Family Justice Center (CJFJC) opened in mid-December of 2005. The CJFJC was created as a result of an interlocal agreement between the City of Tacoma and Pierce County. The interlocal agreement calls for the city and the county to jointly fund the basic infrastructure costs of the CJFJC. Additional funding for the CJFJC comes from grants and donations. These funds support the programs and services provided at the center.
